Rad! I haven’t been able to wear the jeans in question for almost a year. I couldn’t tell you why I never tossed them, except that they are the exact perfect shade of blue, and they flare out just enough to be a little funky, and I suppose we always harbor hope that these favorite things will magically fit us once again.
Anyway, it’s still too hot for jeans, so I haven’t even worn them out yet. But I have been able to be very satisfied with myself for fitting into these again. :)
Hm. Ok, but now I’m feeling very cliche for gauging my progress with a pair of jeans. Such a stereotype!
Too hot for jeans?! I wear jeans all year! Then again, I’m the one that has such stupid body hangups that I wear 3/4 length shirts and capri-length pants when I’m “showin’ some skin”.
Ha! Let me amend that: it is too hot to bike to and from work in jeans. :) And yeah, mostly I wear capris or short leggings for biking in the summer – I am not quite ready for, you know, shorts.
Nahh not cliche, ;) I tell you though, it feels great to be able to fit into a pair of jeans that didn’t fit previously, same goes for most of my old clothes–it’s like going shopping but not paying anything :)
I also wear jeans all year round, not only do I not like my legs, but I also blind people with them. It’s that pale Irish glow, I gotta be really careful on sunny days!
Like Tara said, not cliche! I used my old clothes as motivation and a gague when I was trying to get back in shape. It was really the only way I could tell I was making any progress because progress was so slow and I couldn’t really trust the scale (because of normal fluctuations, body mass composition, etc.). I have a pair of giraffe pants that were my “pretty flowered jacket” and now they’re a little loose! You’ve got to stick to what works for you even if it seems a bit silly. :)
