Guys EVERYWHERE IN CHICAGO SMELLS AWESOME TONIGHT. And my commute home is long, and passes many, many restaurants. And the air is crisp and cool and delivers the smells right to your nose with extra pungency.
And I still managed to have myself a salad for dinner, even though I wanted everything else. So, that’s a plus. Right? It was a good salad too, I made it with red leaf lettuce, crimini mushrooms, hardboiled eggs and sweet yellow onions, all from the farmer’s market. While I would have also loved a big plate of bulgogi, my salad was pretty great too. Feeling pretty good about it.
PS! you know what I highly recommend? Having a friend who went to the French Pastry School, who makes tasty fig cookies and brings them to your house because you had to work late and miss yoga class. Marianna, your fig cookies are delicious and the best and you are crazy to think they aren’t sweet enough, and also I ate three of them, and it is taking every ounce of willpower for me to not finish off the whole box.
PPS! I’m going to be at APE this weekend! at table 4-1-1, because I am what is up, people. Which means, oh, no, this will probably be your last Sauceome comic for a few days. I will still be drawing them, so on Tuesday night you might get a whole bunch uploaded in a row. I am toying with the idea of trying to have fresh seafood for every meal while I am in San Francisco. I think it’s possible, and I think there should be some sort of merit badge waiting for me if I pull it off.
PPPS!!! OMG! I ALMOST FORGOT! I will have a small small number of Sauceome RECIPE MINICOMICS for sale at APE! It is really just a preview, I want to add a bunch more recipes to it before I print it in any great number. But it’s pretty cute, if I do say so myself. If I have any left after APE I will toss them up for sale on the Shortpants site.
