The muscle cramp in question is why I had two bananas. :) Altho keeping hydrated seems to go a longer way towards staving them off than keeping… um, potassiummed.
So just in case there is any question, this doctor is NOT the doctor I have now. Dr. L. is AWESOME. She has never, ever judged me on the weight issue. The only times we’ve talked about it are when I’ve brought it up, and both times she’s basically said, you get plenty of exercise, your cholesterol is perfectly normal, I wouldn’t freak out about it. Contrast that to another (horrible) doctor I had; I asked him to test me for thyroid issues – since they run in the family – and when my tests came back normal he scrawled over them in red ink “GET SOME EXERCISE.”
It’s like, I know I don’t look like it, but on average I bike between 70 and 100 miles a week, all year round. I do yoga. I don’t have a car so I walk everywhere. At the time he tested me I was playing Dance Dance Revolution several times a week. I TOLD HIM ALL OF THIS. But he looked at me and either didn’t believe me, or didn’t listen. I guess the fat can be pretty loud.
ANYWAY. Evil muscle cramp. Anyone else get this? It’s a horrible sharp knotty pain and it happens just at my lowest rib on my left side. Never on my right side, for some reason.
ALSO! Heather pointed out last night, as I was drawing this, that the evil snakey head monster hasn’t shown up in a while!! I hesitate to mention it, in case it’s like Beetlejuice and saying his name will summon him, but she’s right. His last appearance was June 14, almost a month ago. That has to be a good sign, right?
